To implement a tool storage system for the maintenance and repairs workshop that would encourage organisation, minimise loss/misplacement of tools and improve efficiency.

Through our experience in working with LEAN systems, we were able to design a bespoke tool storage system to suit the workshop space. Using Longspan shelving as the frame, lower shelves provide miscellaneous storage and a series of WERKS® Perforated Panels create an expansive tool peg board. The upper shelf provides protection for the tools and an opportunity to install lighting if required. The extensive range of WERKS® Tool Holders ensure there is a place for each tool making it easy to return them to their rightful place – keeping each tool in a designated place eliminates time spent looking for tools and draws attention to any missing items quickly. The WERKS® Heavy Duty Cabinet at the end of each tool storage bay provides storage for PPE equipment and the WERKS® Industrial Mega Bench is used for maintenance and repair work.

Each maintenance section within the workshop has their own tool storage bay, which is being colour-coded by the workshop team, to ensure tools are kept within the correct section.
